WFG Hosts Client Event at the Radisson Plaza Hotel

Wiser's annual Client Appreciation event took place during the evening of October 6, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel. With more than 400 guests in attendance, the room was full of people eager to enjoy an evening of engaging speakers, talented entertainment and great food. Ron Wiser started out the evening by introducing Rick Snyder, recent Governor-elect. Snyder made an appearance to talk about how he plans on turning around Michigan and the specific steps in which he would do so. Once the thunderous applause subsided for Snyder, Wesley Lentz, the emcee for the evening, introduced WMU's Gold Company. The Gold Company is recognized as one of the most successful and prestigious collegiate vocal jazz programs in the world. The crowd loved watching and listening to the timeless tunes sung by talented college students.

The evening continued with the introduction of the first speaker, James Bowen, President of First Trust Portfolios. Bowen spoke to the crowd about how the media is wrongfully concluding that the market is still unstable, when indeed it is not. Next to speak was Don Connelly, a Wall Street veteran and successful financial advisor. Don spoke of the importance a reliable financial advisor is. His appeal to the crowd was that "retirement planning without a financial advisor is like flying in a plane with no pilot."

As the evening concluded, guest munched on cookies and listened to ending remarks by Wesley. Each guest went home with a "Wiser" coffee mug, a few chocolate gold coins, and new perspective on the financial world.
